The Oushak Carnaval Series consists of modern designed Uşak rugs handcrafted from 100% natural Lyocell (TENCEL™) material. The silky texture and natural sheen of the TENCEL™ fiber add elegance and a luxurious atmosphere to your living spaces. The fringed edge finish offers a classic look, while the 7.5 mm pile height creates a soft and comfortable surface. Woven carefully with 168,000 knots and weighing 3300 gr/m², it is dense and durable. This variant features a classic-modern Uşak pattern with a turquoise background decorated in red and earth tones, bordered with tree of life (cypress) and arched motifs. The tree of life symbolizes infinity and the continuity of life in Anatolian weaving tradition.
What is TENCEL™ (Lyocell)?
TENCEL™ is the registered trademark of lyocell fiber produced by the Austrian company Lenzing AG. Daily care of Oushak Carnaval TENCEL™ rugs is practical: they can be easily cleaned with a vacuum cleaner with low suction, and any stains can be gently wiped with a slightly damp (not wet) cloth. However, since TENCEL™ is a natural cellulose fiber, it is sensitive to water and excessive moisture; therefore, do not soak the rug in water or wash it in a machine. For deep cleaning, professional rug cleaning services should be preferred. This way, the silky shine and colors of the rug are preserved for a long time.

Timing is the most critical factor in case of possible liquid spills. Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to gently blot the liquid from the surface without rubbing. Always perform this action in the direction of the carpet’s nap (the natural lay of the fibers). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers like TENCEL™ and viscose. Stop the intervention immediately if you have any doubts.
Routine Care and Light Balance
Always prefer vacuum cleaners with low suction power in your weekly cleaning routine. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural fibers to light and prevent regional tone differences (fading), we recommend rotating your carpet every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the carpet’s silky shine and structural integrity. For deep cleansing, seek support only from professional carpet care centers specialized in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
Delicate pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their structure. (Only specific models clearly labeled "Washable" in their name can be washed in household machines on a low heat and delicate cycle.)
