Göreme Series High-Low Texture High-Quality Dense-Woven Modern Living Room Rug 02 GREY
Göreme Series Polyester and Viscose High-Low Textured, Densely Woven Modern Living Room Rug – Gray (Brick-Inspired)
The Göreme Series features modern living room rugs made with a high-low texture and a dense weave. Made from a blend of 70% polyester and 30% viscose, this rug stands out for its durability and elegant texture. The fringed edges complete its modern design, while the 6 mm pile height provides a soft, comfortable surface. Its non-shedding construction keeps your rug looking clean and well cared for. With 1,600,000 stitches and a weight of 2100 g/m², it has a dense, sturdy, long-lasting weave. This variant features a vintage-inspired modern pattern with muted brick tones against a gray-blue background.
What Are Polyester and Viscose?
A polyester and viscose blend combines the strength of durable polyester fibers with viscose’s silky softness and natural sheen. Polyester gives the rug abrasion resistance and longevity, while viscose lends it an elegant look with its soft texture and subtle luster. In a high-low (embossed) weave, these two fibers reflect light differently, creating a distinct three-dimensional depth across the surface and a texture that is both modern and rich to the touch. In addition, the tightly packed polyester fibers, with a density of 1,600,000 stitches, prevent loose fibers from coming out, so Göreme rugs do not shed and are easy to clean for everyday use. The Göreme Series blend consists of 70% polyester and 30% viscose.

How Do You Clean a Polyester and Viscose Rug?
Göreme Series polyester and viscose rugs should only be cleaned by professional rug-cleaning services; do not machine wash. Because of their viscose content, washing at home or cleaning with plenty of water is not recommended. For daily care, use a vacuum cleaner with low suction and avoid brush attachments; this helps preserve the rug’s texture, colors, and softness for longer.

Protect Its Elegance
To preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia’s handwoven creations made with natural fibers—which add value to your living space—for generations, a careful care routine is essential.
Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid spills, timing is critical. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, blot the liquid gently from the surface without rubbing. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use a vacuum cleaner with low suction. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance how natural yarns react to light and prevent uneven changes in color (fading), we recommend rotating your rug every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Fine textures such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For a thorough clean, seek help only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
Due to their construction, the exceptional pieces in Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing. (Only our specific models explicitly marked “Washable” in their names can be washed in household machines on a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
